On May 20th 2017 a huge 141 supporters of the Owen McVeigh Foundation, guided by the superb team at EXPERIENCE EXPEDITIONS, took on a real challenge to walk up Mount Snowdon , the highest mountain in Wales. A real challenge it was as well as the weather was some of the worst conditions under which you could undertake such a trial with driving rain, hail and very low visibility near the summit. Nevertheless our supporters ploughed on through the task with smiles on their faces all day which you will see from the photos below and it was a superb day all in all carried out with immense enthusiasm and energy by everybody who took part. There was a huge sense of achievement not only for completing the mountain but the difference the funds raised will make to sick children and their families.
Everybody at the Owen McVeigh Foundation would like to pass on a massive thanks to everybody who took part with special thanks going to all at David Lloyd Clubs Knowsley, Phil Gadd and the guys at Experience Expeditions who helped organise the event and run it on the day as well as WILD THANG for providing everybody with the brilliant technical t shirts. Thanks for Chris Forshaw for providing the soundtrack to the day and night. Not forgetting the wonderful generous people at Sainsburys Rice Lane and Tesco Deysbrook Lane for supplying some very thirsty and hungry people with food and drink !
THANK YOU ALL !!!
